Experts are up in arms about whether we should take dietary supplements.

We've all heard it: Vitamin C will help you recover from colds, Omega-3s will make you smarter, melatonin will help you sleep, and calcium will strengthen your bones. But is there any proof? Yes and no. There are scientific studies that seem to support such claims, but we haven't been able to fully prove them. Some medical experts swear by supplementation. There's a whole holistic practice dealing with supplementation. Some experts consider supplementation unnatural and think we're over-doing it.
